Olympic Experience: the interactive museum

The Olympic Experience is the public interactive multimedia centre of the Olympic Stadium. Sport is put in the spotlights in a completely unique way. Using film fragments from the NOS Studio Sport archives and photographs of the ANP, the visitor embarks on a journey of discovery through the past, present and future of Dutch sport. The oldest film footage in the Olympic Experience dates from 1924.

In the Olympic Experience's voyage of discovery, the focus is mainly on ten sports: skating, equestrianism, athletics, football, judo, rowing, cycling, hockey, tennis and swimming. More than one hundred Dutch sportsmen and women are introduced in a multimedia surrounding through film fragments, photographs and biographies. Besides these super stars, there is ample attention for doping, nutrition, science, technological innovation and Olympianism.
The cherry on the cake is the Treasure Trove where different Olympic torches and all the Olympic competitors' medals from 1986 are kept - a unique collection. One of these is the bronze medal which the Dutch football team won at the Olympic Games in 1912.

All visitors are challenged to get moving! Beat Olympic sports stars and sprint away from the professional starting blocks in the Olympic Experience.
