The Olympic Stadium Amsterdam is buzzing!

The Olympic Stadium Amsterdam is the icon of Dutch sport and the birthplace of modern sport tradition. In 1928 the Stadium hosted the only Olympics ever held in the Netherlands and in the eight decennia that followed has been the decor of many national milestones: sports events, cultural and economic gatherings and assemblies of the Dutch royal family. The Olympic Stadium Amsterdam is buzzing like never before. It is a top location for sporting events, tours, business meetings, a visit to the museum, birthday celebrations, sports days and clinics. A place to learn new skills diring a workshops or to get creative!

The Olympic Stadium Amsterdam has many ambitions for the future. The European Crossbow Championships in 2012, the ambition to host the European Athletics Championships in 2016, the European Football Championships in 2018 and the Olympic Ambition for 2028: the Olympic Stadium is once again full in the spotlights.

Verlovingsfeest Juliana en Bernhard in Olympisch Stadion

Op 17 september 1936 nam in het Olympisch Stadion te Amsterdam het verloofde Prinselijk paar een defilé af.

On the occassion of their engagement crown princess Juliana and prince Bernhard visited the Olympic Stadium Amsterdam to celebrate, at the 17th september of 1936.
